Killing of A.S.I. on campus becomes film

The recent incident of an Assistant Sub Inspector of Police getting killed inside a college campus in Changanassery during a student agitation is to form the base of a forthcoming film titled Thread. The film has this incident as the thread of the plot and features Mukesh in the key role.

To be directed by Benny Ashamsa, who also pens the story for the film, Thread will also have in the cast Biju Menon, Salim Kumar, Mythili, Dhanya Menon etc. The screenplay and dialogues will be penned by Anil Mukhathala and will be produced by V.Somanath under the banner of V.S.Productions.

Thread will be shot on locations in Changanassery and Pollachi. The pooja ceremony for the film was recently held at Thiruvananthapuram, following which the recording of the songs took place at the SS Digital Studio. We have to wait and see as to whose side the film takes and how it endeavours to portray the sensational issue. Hope things get an impartial representation on screen and that there is no attempt to make it propaganda stuff!
