Lal Jose to remake old-time Malayalam movie

Cochin, March.18 (NR): Lal Jose, one of the most enterprising directors in Mollywood today, is all set to remake the old-time Malayalam movie, 'Neela Thaamara'.

The original, which was made in 1979, was directed by Yusuf Ali Kechery and scripted by MT Vasudevan Nair, winner of the Jnanpith award and an eminent writer and reputed scenarist-filmmaker.

MT Vasudevan Nair himself will be scripting the new version, which will be produced by Suresh Kumar of Revathy Kalamandir. The key roles will be played by debutantes, who are yet to be finalized. It should be remembered that the 1979 'Neela Thaamara' had in the cast Ravikumar, Sathar, Bahadoor, Pappu, Adoor Bhavani, Santha Devi etc. The film will start rolling by the end of April.
