'Lion' in Tamil with Sharath Kumar

Lion, the Dileep-starrer directed by Joshi, is being remade in Tamil as Namnaadu. Produced by Ramesh Babu of Kanakratna Movies, Namnaadu is directed by Suresh, the director of Sabari, and has Sharath Kumar donning the lead role, which was handled by Dileep in Malayalam. The character played by Kavya Madhavan in the Malayalam version is being played by Malayalam actress Karthika in the Tamil version. Riyaz Khan too plays a key role. Namnaadu will feature songs tuned by Sreekant Deva. The shoot for the film has reportedly commenced in Chennai. Let's hope that Kanakratna Movies, which produced Pokkiri (also a remake), becomes two-time-lucky with Namnaadu.
