Low-budget films scoring high in the Malayalam film industry

Latest releases like 'Ordinary','Second Show','Ee Adutha Kalathu','Nidra' have proved that films with low budgets can also make a mark in the industry.

According to box office reports,'Ordinary' has grossed over 30 crores and 'Ee Adutha Kalathu' has grossed over 22 crores. This proves that Malayali audiences prefer heartfelt stories rather than unbearable heroism.

Even the new release '22 Female Kottayam' has been welcomed by the audience. Apart from 'Mayamohini',all the other films like 'Spanish Masala','Masters','King and The Commisioner' and 'Cobra' have not fared quite well in the Box office.

2012 has opened to a fresh start with films like 'Ordinary' and let us hope that the rest of the year also remains the same.
