M G Radhakrishnan is no more!
Jul 2, 2010 NRTrivandrum, July.2 (NR): Renowned music director M G Radhakrishnan passed away today morning at a private hospital in Trivandrum. He was 70.
Family members and close relatives were beside him at the time of demise.
Born in 1940 at Harippad, M G Radhakrishnan got his Ganabhushanam degree from the Swathi Tirunal College at Trivandrum. He was a Tamburu artiste at the Akashavani.
He entered films as a singer in the film 'Kallichellamma'. He later turned music director with the film 'Thambu'.
He later became one of the most popular music directors in Malayalam with such films as 'Manichithrathazhu', 'Advaitham', 'Agnidevan', 'Kaashmeeram' and 'Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu'.
He won the State Award for Best Music Director twice for the films 'Achaneyanenikkishtam' and 'Ananthabhadram'.
