Mammootty becomes Pokkiri Raja

Bellary Raja - that was the name of Mammootty's character in the blockbuster Rajamaanickam. And now the mega-star of Malayalam Cinema gets ready to play a character named Pokkiri Raja in a film with the same name.

Pokkiri Raja is to be directed by Vaishakh, who had earlier been a television anchor and then had worked as an associate to Johnny Antony and had also assisted director Joshiy in Twenty Twenty.

The film will be produced under the banner of Mulagupaadam Films by Tomichchan Mulagupaadam, who had earlier produced the Sibi Malayil-directed Mohanlal-starrer Flash. Pokkiri Raja will be scripted by the Udayakrishna - Sibi K. Thomas duo. Jassie Gift will score the music for the film.
