Mammootty in 'The late night beggar'

Mammootty is to play the central character in The Late Night Beggar, an English film to be directed by debutante S. Karthika. Baby Malavika too plays a pivotal role in the film, which is based on a real-life experience of the director, who had first authored a short-story on the rather shocking experience that she had had on the streets of Mumbai.

Mammootty plays the character named Dr. Varma in the film, which will also have in the cast Neetu Chandra, Rohini etc. Mahesh Muthuswamy of Chiththiram Pesuthedi fame will wield the camera for this offbeat film. The Late Night Beggar will be shot in Chennai and Mahabalipuram in just twenty days. Mammootty has reportedly given five days out of his busy schedule for the film.
