Mammootty plays himself!

Mammootty playing himself is no news. We had him playing himself alongside Mohanlal in Number 20 Madras Mail years back. He also rocked the box office playing a mega-star much alike his real persona in the recent film Katha Parayumbol. And now, Mammootty once again gets ready to play himself, in a film titled One Way Ticket. The film, which is directed by Bipin Prabhakar (who made his debut with Khaki), has Prithviraj in the lead role.

Prithviraj plays the role of an auto rickshaw-driver who is also an ardent fan of Mammootty in the film. Mammootty, appearing in some scenes in the film as himself, is shown as someone who supports fans of his who are engaged in social activities and working for the betterment of others rather than merely promoting his star status. Bhama plays the heroine in the film, which has script by Babu Janardhanan.
