Mammootty to be Chief Guest at the IFFI closing ceremony

New Delhi, Nov.19 (NR): For the first time in the history of the International Film Festival of India, a Malayali actor would be the Chief Guest.

Megastar Mammootty has been invited by the organisers of IFFI 2009, to be the Chief Guest at the valedictory function of this year's festival on Dec.3.

The star's 'Pazhassi Raja' would be screened at IFFI on Nov.27. The film that has turned out to be one of the biggest hits in the history of Malayalam cinema, and has been well received by the critics as well.

IFFI 2009 would be inaugurated on the 23rd of this month, by veteran actress Waheeda Rehman. Asin, the ravishing South Indian beauty who has conquered Bollywood would light the lamp.
