
Mammootty to do the lead in Daddy Cool!
Jul 23, 2008 NRMammootty is to do the lead role in Daddy Cool, to be directed by debutante Ashique Abu. The director who had been working earlier with director Kamal, bases Daddy Cool on his own screenplay and narrates the story of a father and a son, the father being a Police Officer and the son a cricket-crazy boy.
Mammootty plays the role of the father, named Antony Simon, while the makers are still reportedly on the look-out for a boy to play the son. Indrajith and Kalabhavan Mani would play key roles in the film, to be produced by Allwyn Antony.
Songs penned by Anil Panachooran will be set to tune by Bijibal, while Sameer Thahir, who had earlier cranked the camera for Big B, would be the cinematographer. Other details about Daddy Cool including the rest of the cast are being worked out.
