Mammooty's new entry in Ayurveda

Veteran actor Mammooty will enter in the area of manufacture of Ayurvedic cosmetic products. Recently he joined share partnership with Padanjali Herbal Extracts, established in 1995. To a leading Malayalam newspaper, Mammooty says his aim is to popularize the ayurvedic tradition of Kerala.

In the initial stage, the company will launch online store and distribution centre at Kochi. Gradually an outlet will be set at Kozhikode, Chennai and Mumbai. Agnijith, a product of Padanjali Herbal Extracts is the best medicine applicable to burns. Once Mammooty has approached the director of the company, Jyothish Kumar to treat the crew of a movie, who have been wounded and had burns. After twentyone days of perfect treatment, they recovered. This made him to collaborate with the company.

The ayurvedic product distribution centre at Kochi will be inaugurated by the well-known Malayalam writer and scriptwriter, M.T.Vasudevan on 8th July 2012.
