Mamta to act in RGV film

May 6, 2007 NR

Mamta Mohandas, who made a foray into Tamil and Telugu from Malayalam, has now got a real big offer. She has been chosen to act in a film produced by none other than Ram Gopal Varma. The film, to be made in Telugu, will be directed by J.D. Chakravarthy, who had been noted as the protagonist in RGV's Satya and Vaasthushastra and who had also directed Durga, a segment in Darna Zaroori Hai, etc.

The film, which is yet to be named, will have Jagapathy Babu playing the hero and Mamta playing the female lead role. Chakravarthy too would be doing a role in the film. Meanwhile there are reports that Mamta is no longer working in the Telugu film Don, starring Nagarjuna in lead and directed by Lawrence. With the RGV project in the offing, there is no doubt that Mamta is going places.
