Mamta to be Narayani in 'Mathilukalkappuram'

Cochin, Feb.16 (NR): When director Prasad announced his film 'Mathilukalkappuram' with Mammootty in the lead role, it was decided that Vidya Balan would play the Megastar's heroine in the film.

Prasad's film is believed to be a sequel to Adoor's renowned classic 'Mathilukal' in which Mammootty had essayed the role of Basheer.

Later it was reported that Nayantara had replaced Vidya Balan, and not it has been confirmed that it would be neither Vidya nor Nayantara who would be playing Narayani in the film.

Mamta Mohandas, who had carved a niche for herself in the industry, would be playing the female lead in 'Mathilukalkappuram'. The film would b produced by Mammootty himself under the banner of Playhouse. Click the Movie button below for more info:
