'Maya Bazaar' to release on October 1st

Though the super-stars didn't have any release this Onam, Malayalam industry is gearing up for super-star releases as the holy month of Ramzan draws to a close.

And it will be Mammootty's Maya Bazaar slated for release on October 1 that will be the next super-star film to hit screens. Directed by Thomas Sebastian, the film has Mammootty playing the role of Ramesh, popularly known as 'Akkiri' Ramesh, one who buys old and discarded vehicles, dismantles them and then sells off the parts at a cheap price. He operates out of a place called Maya Bazaar, where many like him base their business.

Produced by Sachi S. Mangalam under the banner of Akhil Films, Maya Bazaar has Tamil-Telugu actress Sheela making her debut in Malayalam under a new name, Maya. Also in the cast are Kalabhavan Mani, Rajan P. Dev, Prakash Raj, Salim Kumar, Suraaj Venjaramoodu, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Bijukuttan etc.

Scripted jointly by the director Thomas Sebastian and Govind Vijayan, Maya Bazaar has dialogues penned by T.A. Razak and music by Rahul Raj.

The film is expected to be an entertainer on the whole.
