Mission 90 days : Major Ravi strikes again
Mar 25, 2007 NRMajor Ravi of Keerthichakra fame is all set to make his second film, Mission 90 Days, this time with Mammootty in lead role. To be produced by Sasi Ayyanchira under the banner of Sri Uththrittathi Films, Mission 90 Days tells the story of Major Sivaram, a daring NSG Commando Officer who is in charge of the investigation of the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. Major Sivaram, played by Mammootty, is on a mission to solve the case for which he has a deadline of just 90 days.
Major Ravi is reportedly basing the film on his own experiences as a Commando Officer and attempts to bring to the fore the many aspects of a commando operation and break some myths too that envelope commando operations and terrorist-activities too. He also focuses on the personal life of his protagonist, just as he did in Keerthichakra.
Kalabhavan Mani, Vani Viswanath, Laloo Aalex, Cochin Haneefa, Innocent, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Bineesh Kodiyeri etc. too play key roles in the film, which will commence shoot in Chennai in the second week of April and later shift to Kerala and Bangalore.
It is heard that Major Ravi had tried to get permission to shoot in Sri Perumbudur, which however didn't materialize. Tirru is in charge of cinematography again and the film will be edited by Jayaram. Major Ravi plans to get the film released just before Onam after finishing the shoot in one schedule itself.
