Mohanlal dedicates D.Lit to dad

Trivandrum, Mar.16 (NR): Megastar Mohanlal said he was just a film actor before the D.Lit conferred on him by the Kaladi Sankaracharya University today.

The much loved actor remembered that his dad had never stood in his way when he decided to become an actor. Perhaps he might have desired for his son to continue his studies and become a much greater person. "If that was so, I would like to dedicate this honor to my father", Lal said.

Mohanlal also said that this new degree that the University has bestowed on him, brings along with it much greater responsibilities.

"Jawaharlal Nehru had once said that before the singer legend M S Subbalekshmi, he was just a Prime minister. Borrowing his words, I would like to say that before this great honor, I am just a film actor," Lal concluded.
