Mohanlal dubs for Manikantan

An actor dubbing for an animation film is of course no news. Many prominent artists have lent their voices to animated characters, all across the globe. The latest to join this bandwagon is our own Mohanlal, who has lent his voice to an animation film titled Manikantan.

The first animation film coming up from Mollywood, is about Lord Ayyappa, the presiding deity of the Sabarimala shrine, where millions throng every year during the pilgrimage season. Produced by Nalin Singh, the film has as its director Reji Syne, who is thrilled about the venture just like every one else associated with it. Mohanlal lends his voice to the character of the Raja of Pandalam, who is the father of Lord Ayyappa according to mythology. They also have other film stars like Saikumar, Thilakan and Sukumari to dub for other characters.

Mohanlal has found time in the middle of his busy acting schedule for doing the dubbing for Manikantan, and he feels this too is another aspect of acting itself. The makers of the film too are happy that Mohanlal as well as other leading stars are making their presence felt by lending their voices and this would add to the popularity of Manikantan, which they are planning to release in October.
