Mohanlal''s ''Maambazhakaalam'' makes it to top

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 16 (IANS): The Diwali and Eid season saw the release of three films starring reigning superstars and one featuring two top heroines.

All the four films made it to the Malayalam top five list:

1) "Maambazhakaalam": This Mohanlal-starrer was the first film to hit theatres, creating a festive mood in the last week of Ramadan. This is a film Mohanlal fans will enjoy.

2) "Black": This much-hyped Mammootty film directed by Ranjith is drawing the crowds like a typical blockbuster would in the festive season.

3) "Perumazhakaalam": This film stars the two top heroines in Malayalam today: Meera Jasmine and Kavya Madhavan. Dileep has a much-publicised cameo in this film.

4) "Kazhcha": This Mammootty-starrer, directed by newcomer Blessy, stays on this list despite heavy competition from new releases.

5) "Kathavaseshan": This T.V. Chandran film is not for the masses. Dileep stars in this film, which he himself has produced along with his brother Anoop.
