Kochi, March 3 (IANS): The music of "Udayananu Tharam" and "Achuvinte Amma" top Malayalam film music charts with new entrants failing to grab a toe-hold.

1. "Penne En Penne": Film: "Udayananu Tharam"; Music: Deepak Dev; Lyrics: Kaithapram; Singers: Afsal and Shalini Singh. A typical adipoli song by Afsal. The unusual picturisation has won over the audience.

2. "Swasathin Thaalam": Film: "Achuvinte Amma"; Music: Ilayaraja; Lyrics: Gireesh Puthenchery; Singers: Yesudas and Manjari. Meera Jasmine and Sunil Kumar look great in this song.

3. "Karale Karalinte": Film: "Udayananu Tharam"; Music: Deepak Dev; Lyrics: Kaithapram; Singers: Vineeth Sreenivas and Remi Tomy. Sreenivasan wins hands down when he has to be sarcastic and self-deprecatory. This song can be said to be the best example of that.
