Nayakan: Lijo Pallissery's maiden venture

Lijo Jose Pallissery, who till now had been working on ad films and commercials, and who made a name for himself by winning the Sony Pictures award for his short film Three, is moving on to full-length movies with his debut venture Nayakan.

The film will have Indrajith, Thilakan and Mukesh in the lead roles. Dhanya Mary Varghese, who shot to prominence with her performance in Thalappaavu, will be the leading lady. Others in the cast include Laloo Alex, Jagathy Sreekumar, Kalasaala Babu, Vijay Menon, Kiran Raj, Sreejith Ravi, Renju, Ambika Mohan, Rekha Pillai etc.

P.S. Rasheed does the screenplay for the film for which two cameramen – Vijay Ulakanath (of Madambi fame) and Manoj Paramahamsa – will lend their creative talent. Lyrics for the songs in the film will be penned by Sachchidanandan Puzhangara and set to tune by Prashanth Krishnan. Nayakan is being produced by Anoop Johnson under the Illumineto banner.
