Novel begins to roll

Novel, the debut directorial venture of East Coast Vijayan, has started rolling. East Coast Vijayan, who is an NRI businessman, is popular in Kerala as the man behind some of the very popular albums that have come out in recent times. He is producing and directing the film which has Jayaram and Tamil actress Sada in lead roles.

The film, as per the makers' claim, is a musical love story that takes us into the life of Sethu, a happily married man who is a musician too. And then one day a young girl pops up from nowhere to sing in his studio. From there things take a totally new turn in Sethu's life.

Nedumudi Venu, Jagathy Sreekumar and Devan play key roles in the film. Novel features five songs penned by East Coast Vijayan himself and set to tune by M. Jayachandran and Umbai and sung by Yesudas, Sujatha and Shwetha. Azhagappan is in charge of cinematography, while Prashanth Madhavan does the art-direction. Sada is reportedly all excited about this project, her debut film in Malayalam.
