'Oridathoru Postman' to start on the 5th of March

Cochin, Feb.24 (NR): Tamil superstar Sarath Kumar who had left a permanent mark in the minds of Malayali viewers with his portrayal of Kunkan in 'Pazhassi Raja' will soon be back to Malayalam films.


The actor would be seen in 'Oridathoru Postman', to be directed by Shaji, who had earlier directed 'Shakespeare MA Malayalam' along with Shaiju.


Sarath Kumar plays a character by the name of Yasin Mubarak, a wild life photographer. He feels that the film deals with a very serious and relevant theme that would have humor as its backdrop. Sarath who had been approached by many directors after the success of 'Pazhassi Raja', immediately said Yes to this project, since he was impressed by the theme.


Along with Sarath Kumar, Kunchacko Boban, Innocent and Kalabhavan Mani would also be a part of the cast. Meera Nandan and Archana Kavi are the heroines of the film. Suraj Venjarammoodu, Salim Kumar, Jaffer Idukki and Bijukuttan lend support.


The film has been scripted by K Gireesh Kumar. Shaji and Basheer Silsila produce the film under the banner of Nila Creations. The shoot of the film would start at Thodupuzha on the 5th of March.
