Please refrain from idle gossip about stars, says Mukesh

Cochin, July.20 (NR): Actor Mukesh who is also the Chairman of the Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Academy requested the public to refrain from indulging in idle gossip about film stars.

Mukesh was interacting with media persons at a press conference.

He said that ninety five percent of film actors are not strong enough to handle such gossip. He cited the instance of Mohanlal and said that the controversy regarding Lal's late brother had much pained him. Mukesh also said that other actors had not reacted to the whole episode on Lal's insistence.

Mukesh also said that he felt that there was nothing wrong in the superstars deciding who their co-actors should be. This would only help in the overall improvement in the quality of the film.
