Kochi, Nov 1 (IANS) Diwali and Eid fireworks have rocked the Malayalam film industry with three big releases dominating the list.

The top five Malayalam films are:

1. "Pothen Vava" - Mammootty plays a person with no religion. Directed by Joshiy, the film has just the right feel for Mammootty fans to queue up outside theatres. Another attraction in this film is Usha Uthup, who plays the veteran actor's mother.

2. "Classmates" - The success of this film has acquired phenomenal proportions. Despite competition from new releases, the film is going strong.

3. "Photographer" - Mohanlal fans maybe be unhappy with Ranjan Pramod's directorial debut, but it merits a place in this list because of the initial rush.

4. "Bada Dosth" - A typical Suresh Gopi film with dialogues and action directed by Viji Thampy. Let us see how it sustains itself in the coming days.

5."Keerthi Chakra" - The film based on Kashmir militancy with Mohanlal as an NSG commando is still popular.
