Prithvi to lead in Pramod Pappan's 'Kaakichattai' remake

Cochin, Feb.24 (NR): There are unconfirmed reports floating around that youth icon Prithviraj may do the lead role in the Malayalam remake of Tamil superhit 'Kaakichattai'.

Director duo Pramod and Pappan who had last directed 'Black Stallion' would be directing the remake. The film would be produced by Jagadeesh Chandran under the banner of Kichu Films.

The original Tamil film was release twenty five years back and was directed by Rajasekhar. It was a runaway hit and had firmly established the status of its hero Kamalhassan as a superstar.

Prithvi would be playing the police officer in the Malayalam version. Tthe film would be scripted by Rajesh Jayaraman.
