Priyan to remake 'Vellanakalude Naadu'

Cochin, Nov.10 (NR): Priyadarshan has announced his next film in Hindi, titled 'Khatta Meetha'. This film would be a remake of the yesteryear Malayalam hit 'Vellanakalude Naadu' that starred Mohanlal and Sreenivasan.

'Khatta Meetha' would have Akshay Kumar donning Mohanlal's role. Trisha has been cast opposite Akshay in the film. The actress who had long been planning to make a debut in Bollywood, finally has signed up a Priyadarshan film, that she hopes would be an ideal launch vehicle for her.

'Vellanakalude Naadu' was a huge hit and is often considered one of Priyadarshan's best films till date. Scripted by Sreenivasan, the laugh riot is held closely to their hearts by most film lovers in the state.
