Rahman to do 'Sourayootham'

Rahman will be playing the key role in 'Sourayootham', to be directed by debutante Manu. To be produced by Ashraf Malaysia under the banner of Film Factory Mass Communications, the film tells the story of a guy called Harikrishnan and a girl called Nanda, who come together at a stage in their lives and then again, due to rather strange circumstances, part ways.

While Rahman becomes Harikrishnan, debutante Nanda plays Nanda. The cast will also feature Innocent, Saikumar, Manoj K. Jayan, Jagadeesh, Anoop Chandran etc.

To be scripted by the director himself, 'Sourayootham' will feature lyrics by Mullanezhi, music by Rajesh Mohan, cinematography by M.J. Radhakrishnan, editing by Venugopal and art-direction by Shine K. Chandran. 'Sourayootham' will start rolling by September and will have Kochi and Palakkad as the locations.
