Ramaanam is Sukumaran Nair's new film

Cochin, April.12 (NR): M.P.Sukumaran Nair, the maker of well acclaimed films like 'Aparahnam', 'Kazhakam', 'Shayanam' and 'Drishtantham', now gets ready with his new film, 'Raamaanam'.

Produced by Sukumaran Nair himself under the banner of Rachana Films, 'Raamaanam' is an adaptation of the novel 'Smarakashilakal', written by Punaththil Kunjabdullah.

Jagathy Sreekumar, Krishnaprabha, Margi Sathi, Manju Pillai, Anoop Chandran, Indrans, Mamookoya, Jayakrishnan etc form the cast for 'Raamaanam', which features script by M.P. Sukumaran Nair and cinematography by K.G. Jayan. The film discusses contemporary issues including communalism. Shoot for 'Raamaanam' is currently in progress.
