Ranjith: Remembrance of Thilakan

Ranjith was all against those who eulogized Thilakan who did not care when he was alive. He said that those who were not ready to recognize the artist during his lifetime is now all praise for him. They were not willing to act with him in the films.

Ranjith adds that Malayalam film industry should feel sorry for what they have done to Thilakan.

Thilakan was in a thick of controversy and was not in good terms with the Amma association. He was not part of any films for a while. It was with Ranjith’s ‘Indian Rupee’ that Thilakan made a remarkable comeback. Later he did a powerful character in ‘Ustad Hotel’; both roles were greatly appreciated.
