'Rathinirvedam' to be remade by Revathy Kalamandir

Cochin, June.8 (NR): Rathi Nirvedam that was released in 1978 and that was directed by Bharathan and wriiten by Padmarajan is to be remade in Malayalam.

The film that starred Jayabharathi and Krishnachandran told the story of a teenage boy's obsession for an older woman in the neighborhood.

'Rathinirvedam' was much discussed for its content.

The roles would be played by newcomers in the remake.

The all new 'Rathinirvedam' would be produced by Suresh Kumar under the banner of Revathy Kalamandir.
