An array of films ready for release

A number of movies are slated for release in the coming weeks. This includes ‘Ayalum Njanum Thammil’, ‘Jawan of Vellimala’, ‘101 Weddings’, ‘Edavapathi’, ‘Kaash’.

Directed by Lal Jose, ‘Ayalum Njanum Thammil’ is a romantic thriller starring Prithviraj, Narain, Samvritha Sunil, Rima Kallingal. The story which unfolds in a medical background is being scripted by Boby- Sanjay team and produced by Prakash Movietone.

Mammootty starrer ‘Jawan of Vellimala’ is directed by debutant Anoop Kannan. The plot revolves round a dam and the people associated with it. Sreenivasan, Mamta Mohandas, Asif Ali are the other important cast. Mammootty dons the role of Gopi Krishna, an ex-militaryman who guards the Vellimala dam. The movie is produced by Mammootty under his own banner Playhouse.

Shafi’s romantic comedy ‘101 Weddings’ set against the backdrop of a mass marriage ceremony stars Kunchacko Boban, Jayasurya, Biju Menon, Samvritha Sunil, and Bhama in the lead roles. Screenplay is by Kalavoor Ravikumar based on the story by Rafi.

Lenin Rajendran’s ‘Edavapathi’ vividly presents the mental conflicts of a Tibetan Buddhist priest played by ‘Yodha’ fame Siddhartha Lama. Uthara does the female lead. Manisha Koirala also does an important role in the movie.

‘Kaashh’ narrates the efforts of four friends to get out of an economic crisis. The story, screenplay, and directon by Sajith and Sujith, ‘Kaashh’ stars Rajeev Pilla, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vineeth Kumar, Tini Tom, Innocent, and Lakshmi Priya.
