Reliance to produce Mammootty - starrer

Closely after Pyramid Saimira's entry into Malayalam Cinema (their debut Malayalam venture is the Shaji Kailas-directed, yet to be released film Sound of Boot), here is Anil Ambani's Reliance Entertainments too making a foray into the realm of Malayalam Cinema with the Mammootty-starrer, KuttiShraanku, directed by none other than nationally and internationally acknowledged filmmaker Shaji N. Karun.

The director, who is an acclaimed cinematographer as well, bases his film in the 1950's and has reportedly decided to cast three heroines in the film. Their names haven't yet been divulged. It is however learnt, that one of the girls would be from Sri Lanka.

There are reports that Shaji N. Karun proposes to begin the shoot by mid-march and to wind it up by August, completing the filming in three schedules, and having it ready to be premiered at the Venice Festival to be held in September.

With KuttiShraanku, which sees Shaji N. Karun teaming up with Mammootty for the first time, Reliance Entertainment doesn't merely make its entry into Malayalam cinema, but does it in style with an international premiere. All the best, to KuttiShraanku!
