Saiju Kurup gets busier

Saiju Kurup, who made his debut with Mayookham, which fared badly at the box office, just managed hang in there doing mostly bit roles. Some of those roles did get noted and he landed the lead role in Sketch, which however also bombed. And then again it was supporting roles for the fledgling actor.

But now, Saiju's career is beginning to look up and he getting busier, not just in Malayalam, but in Tamil too. While he has completed shoot for Jubilee, in which he is doing the title role, he is all set to make an entry into Tamil with a meaty role - that of a Police Officer and encounter specialist named Rock Razack in Puthiya Vaarppukal, directed by K. Bhagyaraj. (The film features in lead roles Shantanu (Bhagyaraj's son) and debutante Chandni).

Saiju is also playing cop in a Malayalam film named Brahmasthram, directed by Benny Ashamsa. Yet another interesting role that has come up for him is that of the social reformer Sahodaran Ayyappan in Yugapurushan, to be directed by R. Sukumaran. Saiju seems to be all set to make a fresh beginning with these films, while at the same time doing supporting and minor characters too. All the best, Saiju!
