Sarath Kumar instead of Mohanlal in 'Veera Putran'

Cochin, Sep.29 (NR): PT Kunju Muhammed's new film 'Veera Putran' might well be called a film of replacements.

The film was originally planned with Prithviraj in the tile role. But we soon saw Narein walking in, and Prithvi walking out of the project.

As the shoot of the film is finally drawing to a close, there were news reports that Mohanlal would appear in a cameo in the film.

Now it looks like Mohanlal won't be a part of the project after all. Sarath Kumar would be doing the role of a historian instead of Mohanlal in the film.

Its learned that Mohanlal had expressed a disinterest in doing the film, since none of the films in which he had done guest roles recently had a good run at the box office.

Veera Putran has Narein playing renowned freedom fighter Abdul Rehman Sahib. Raima Sen is the heroine. Click the Movie button below for more info:
