Shankar turns director: Mani to lead

Cochin, April.23 (NR): Shankar, who years ago was one of the leading heroes of Mollywood and who now does supporting roles and character roles, is now all set to don the director's mantle.

His directorial venture 'Keraleeyam' will have Kalabhavan Mani in the lead role, while the cast would also include Vinu Mohan, Nedumudi Venu, Salim Kumar and many other prominent stars.

Shankar would also be penning the story for 'Keraleeyam', which would have Shyam Dharman (who had tasted success with 'Veruthe Oru Bharya') as the music director. Deepak Padi will be the cinematographer. More details about the film are awaited.
