Shwetha has no plans to watch 'Rathinirvedam' original

Cochin, Feb.5 (NR): Actress Shwetha Menon says that she is yet to see the original 'Rathinirvedam'.

Shwetha would be doing the lead role in the 'Rathinirvedam' remake to be directed by T K Rajeev Kumar.

"I haven't seen 'Rathinirvedam' that was released thirty two years back and I don't intent to see the film either. Because, I don't want my essayal of the character to be a mere mimicry. The body language of the character would also have changed considerably with time," says Shwetha.

Jyabharathi had done the role of Rathi chechi in the original 'Rathinirvedam' that was written by Padmarajan and directed by Bharathan.

The shooting of Rajeev Kumar's 'Rathinirvedam' would be starting shortly.
