Songs of 'Goal' rule Malayalam charts

Kochi, May 30 (IANS) The songs of "Goal", set against a boarding school in Ooty, still dominate the Malayalam music charts.

The top five Malayalam songs this fortnight are:

1. "O Mariya" - Film: "Goal"; Music: Vidyasagar; Lyrics: Gireesh Puthencherry; Singers: Sangeeth, Job, Mridhula, Ajay and Nithish. Director Kamal's magic with shooting song sequences is visible here. He attracts young crowds with the songs.

2. "Thala" - Film: "Chotta Mumbai"; Music: Rahul Raj; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singers: Shankar Mahadevan, Arjun Sasi, Sangeeth and Rahul Raj. The energetic number chimes with the spirit of the film.

3. "Enthanenne" - Film: "Goal"; Music: Vidyasagar: Lyrics: Sarath Varma. Singers: Devanand and Swetha. A romantic song shot at a beach in Phuket, is luring people.

4. "Kaiyetha" - Film: "Vinodayatra"; Music: Ilayaraja; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singer: Manjari. Ilayaraja weaves a spell for director Sathyan Anthikkad and succeeds in casting a spell on the listeners.
