Sphadikom in Tamil : Gpika to do Urvashi's character

The blockbuster Malayalam film Sphadikom, directed by Bhadran and having Mohanlal in the key role, is being re-made in Tamil. Directed by debutante Badri, an associate of director Sundar C, the film has Sundar C himself playing the lead role, the one that was played by Mohanlal in the Malayalam version.

Incidentally, Sundar C had recently done the lead role in Thalainagaram. Popular Malayalam actress Gopika, who has already won for herself a place in Tamil, is playing the female lead role, doing the character that was played by Urvashi in Malayalam. The film is reported to be in progress in Thirunelveli.
