Sreenivasan in Deivathinte Swantham N aattil

Sreenivasan, one of the all-time favorites of Malayalam film-viewers, is to do the lead role in Deivaththinte Swantham Naattil (meaning "In God's Own Country'), to be directed by Chandrashekharan. The film is being produced by S.C. Pillai under the banner of Vijayam Combines. It is based on a story written by Sreenivasan himself with Vinu Narayanan doing the scripting.

Navya Nair and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy are likely to be the heroines, while the cast will also include Mukesh, Jagathy Sreekumar, Saikumar, Innocent, Nedumudi Venu, KPAC Lalitha etc. Though more details are not known about the subject or the theme, it is speculated that the film would be a light-veined entertainer with Sreenivasan-style subtle humour. M. Jayachandran will score the music while Saloo George will crank the camera and K. Rajagopal will do the editing.
