Cochin, Jan.28 (NR): Hot shot director Amal Neerad says that in his new film 'Anwar', stardom would take a backseat.

He was interacting with a prominent Malayalam daily, when he explained how his next film would look like.

Amal said that in both his films, be it 'Big B' or 'Sagar Alias Jackey', stardom had an important role, as he cashed in on the Megastar images of the Big M's in Malluwood, in a big way.

However, 'Anwar', he promises would be different.

'Anwar' would have the characters gaining more importance than its stars. It takes a look at the sentimental side of terrorism, and tries to ascertain what is right and what is wrong.

'Anwar' that has youth icon Prithviraj in the lead role, would be scripted by Amal himself. The film would start its shoot at Kochi and Bangalore by March. It is expected to grace the screens by July.
