Suresh Gopi Becomes Saddam

Director Johny Antony, who had earlier made the hit films CID Moosa, Kochirajaavu and Thuruppugulaan and is presently making Inspector Garud, has decided to make his next film with Suresh Gopi and Lal in key roles. To be titled Saddam, the film will tell the story of a man named Xavier, who is popularly known among those around him as Saddam Xavier.

Saddam Xavier is someone who reacts against anything and everything and is always ready to help those around him. Jagathy Sreekumar, Vijayaraghavan, Cochin Haneefa, Harisri Ashokan etc play key roles in this film, which is being scripted by K.S. Naushad. The film, which will start rolling in February, could revive hopes for Suresh Gopi. But, with the recent developments in international politics, it is to be seen whether the makers retain the name or decide to cash in on the same.
