Suresh Gopi injured

Mar 7, 2006 TT

Late last week, actor Suresh Gopi suffered a minor injury during the shooting of the climax scenes of Anil C. Menon directed Rashtram at Kochi. The accident happened when Suresh Gopi was examining a ‘filmy’ hand grenade before the shoot and it exploded in his hands. The actor suffered serious burns to his right palm, and was rushed to a near by hospital.

Rashtram is Suresh Gopi’s next release, after the much hyped Lanka, which is not doing the expected business. Doctors have advised two to three week's rest after which the action hero would begin the dubbing works for the film. Rashtram was slated for a March - end release. While the mishap may or may not affect Rashtram's scheduled release, it certainly will affect K Madhu's Pathaka, which has the star in the lead role.
