Surprises from Shaji Kailas

A film getting completed in an extremely short time does not make news in Malayalam Cinema, especially when we have someone like Jayaraj, who completed the shooting of one of his films (Albhutham) in a record time of just 2 hours and 14 minutes. But when someone like Shaji Kailas, who specializes in making big budget films with mega stars, completes a film in a very short time, it is indeed news. This is what the hit maker has done with his latest flick, the Suresh Gopi-starrer Boot, shooting of which was completed in just 22 days.

Boot has Suresh Gopi playing an investigating officer once again. The film is produced by Pyramid Saimira and features script by Rajesh Jayaraman. It also has in the cast Murali, Bala, Honey, Manianpillai Raju, Rajan P. Dev, Bheeman Reghu, Riza Bawa, Krishnakumar, Sona Nair etc. Cinematography by Rajarathinam, editing by Arun, art-direction by Boban, lyrics by Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma and music by Shaan are among the highlights of Boot. The film has been shot on locations in Peerumedu, Mundakkayam, Kuttikaanam etc., and is slated for release during Christmas this year.
