T A Shahid to direct Mohanlal

Cochin, Dec.2 (NR): Scriptwriter T A Shahid is all excited about directing his first film. And what more could he ask for, since he has managed to rope in none other than Megastar Mohanlal for his maiden attempt at direction.

Shahid says he has in mind a film that would make no compromises on its artistic value, like the classics directed by Padmarajan.

It seems like Mohanlal who was very impressed by Shahid's story narration has asked him to go ahead with the script. However, since Shahid is currently busy scripting other projects, his directorial debut will have to wait.

Shahid had earlier written scripts for Mohanlal films like 'Balettan', 'Naaturajavu' and 'Alibhai'.
