Thalapaavu , Madhupals directorial venture

After being in Cinema for a long time, first as an associate director and then as an actor, Madhupal finally takes up the job of directing a movie. Madhupal's first film, Thalapaavu, is all set to start rolling by September 20, 2007. To be produced by Tamil actor Mohanraj under the banner of Civic Films, Thalapaavu will have Prithviraj and Navya Nair in lead roles and will also have in the cast Jagathy Sreekumar, Lal and Kalabhavan Mani.

Though more details regarding the cast and the subject are awaited, it is known that noted poet-lyricist ONV Kurup would pen the songs for Thalapaavu and that music for the same would be composed by popular new-generation composer Alex Paul. Babu Janardhanan would be in charge of the script.

After doing his Post-graduation and a course in journalism, Madhupal joined the film industry as an associate director and even attempted scripting, though the ventures he scripted never came to be released. He then assisted Rajeev Anchal in films like Butterflies and Kashmeeram. It was with Kashmeeram that he turned actor. Now Madhupal is a popular face in Malayalam Cinema as well as on TV. Madhupal, who has also authored a couple of books, is now all set to direct his debut film, Thalapaavu. All the best Madhu!
