The 13th TIFF kicks off at Trivandrum

The 13th Trivandrum International Film Festival got off to a start on the 1st of August at Kalabhavan. Organized by the Chalachitra Film Society, the TIFF has been the cynosure of public attention for the last several years, owing to the variegated cinematic genres that it brings to light for film enthusiasts in Kerala.


The 13th edition of TIFF focuses on World Cinema and Asian Cinema. The spotlight would be on Srilankan Cinema that would dwell on sixty years of film making in that country. There would also be a Retro on Dan Wolman, the celebrated Israeli director with eight of his renowned films being screened.


TIFF was inaugurated by the prominent Malayalam director Shaji N Karun. The Festival Book was released on the occasion by the Chalachitra Academy Chairman, K R Mohanan. Additional Chief Secretary to the Government, Jayakumar IAS and Dan Wolman were present.
