Idukki (Kerala), Mov 17 (IANS) Malayalam superstar Mammootty was Friday injured here in an accident but reported for shooting after first aid.

Mammootty was driving to the location of director Blessy's film "Palanku" (Pearl) in Idukki district when a bus from the wrong side of the road rammed into his Skoda Octavia.

The car is completely damaged but the star escaped with minor injuries. He was immediately taken to a private hospital, which gave him a preliminary examination and first aid.

The star, who soon returned to the film's sets, said: "I cannot afford to take a break. A delay would mean a loss not just to this producer but also other producers."

"My back, however, is still aching," Mammootty told IANS.
