There is a dearth of good stories in cinema: Viji Thampi

Cochin, Jan.2 (NR): Director Viji Thampi who is currently busy with the shooting of his latest film 'Nadakame Ulakam' says there is a dearth of good stories in Malayalam.

"But there are many talented story writers around. That is why, good films are being openly received by the audience. Directors should be able to identify good story writers," says Thampi.

"Talented directors have lots of opportunities. Though there are several assistant directors and associate directors, not every one of them gets to make a movie of their own. Young directors who see films as a profession and as their life itself would make a difference," Thampi adds.
