Cochin, Feb.10 (NR): The Executive Committee of AMMA, that held a meeting late last night decided to ask veteran actor Thilakan to tender an apology for creating an unnecessary controversy.

The committee also decided to take appropriate action against the actor if he failed to tender an apology within one week.

Members of the committee said that the recent controversy was absolutely uncalled for, and also that Thilakan had at no point, raised the issue with AMMA. Even as AMMA was maintaining a silence, taking into consideration the age of the actor, he had continued to make the problems even worse.

AMMA also observed that Thilakan's comments have caused much pain to its members, and had also resulted in the organization having a bad name. AMMA President and actor Innocent said that Thilakan would be intimated of the proceedings of the meeting on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by about thirteen executive members including Innocent, Mammootty and Mohanlal.
