'Urumi' is the first global cinema in Malayalam: Prithvi

Cochin, Sep.22 (NR): Young superstar Prithviraj has got his hopes all perked up with his forthcoming film 'Urumi'.


He says it would be the first global film in Malayalam.


'I think 'Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha' and 'Pazhassiraja' were fantastic films. But the lead characters in these films are not that well known across the world. But Vasco Da Gama is a real life character that almost anyone is familiar with. This is why I feel that 'Urumi' would appeal to a bigger audience,' Prithvi said.


'Urumi' is reported to be made on a budget of twenty crores. It would be jointly produced by Prithvi, Santhosh Sivan and Shaji Nadesan.


Besides Prithvi, the film also stars Genelia, Prabhudeva, Tabu and Vidya Balan in key roles.
